A mild protein-based surfactant made from rice protein and coconut fatty acids.
What it is
Sodium cocoyl hydrolyzed rice protein is the sodium salt of the condensation product of coconut fatty acids with hydrolysed rice protein. CosIng lists it as an antistatic, hair-conditioning and skin-conditioning ingredient and a cleansing surfactant.
Where it is used
Found in shampoos, shower gels, facial cleansers and baby washes.
Limits of interpretation
The INCI list shows which ingredients are present, not how much of each. Above 1%, ingredients are listed in descending order of weight; below 1% the order is free.
The label does not show the concentration used or the degree of hydrolysis of the protein.
