Soap made from palm oil.

What it is

Sodium palmate is the sodium salt of palm oil fatty acids – in other words, soap. It cleanses and gives bar soaps hardness.

Where it is used

Bar soaps and solid cleansers.

Limits of interpretation

The INCI list shows which ingredients are present, not how much of each. Above 1%, ingredients are listed in descending order of weight; below 1% the order is free.

Soap is alkaline; how drying a bar feels depends on the whole formula.
