SOLUBLE COLLAGEN

Soluble collagen

A soluble form of the protein collagen.

What it is

Soluble collagen is collagen, a structural protein of animal connective tissue, in a water-soluble form. CosIng lists it as antistatic, film forming, hair conditioning, humectant and skin conditioning.

Where it is used

Found in face creams, serums, masks, eye care and hair care.

Limits of interpretation

The INCI list shows which ingredients are present, not how much of each. Above 1%, ingredients are listed in descending order of weight; below 1% the order is free.

The INCI name does not reveal the animal source (for example fish or bovine). Collagen in a product is not the same as collagen in the skin.
