What it is
Spirulina platensis extract is an extract of Spirulina platensis, a blue-green microalga (cyanobacterium), now often classified as Arthrospira platensis. CosIng lists it as a skin-protecting agent.
Where it is used
Found in creams, serums, masks and hair care products.
