What it is
Stearoxymethicone/dimethicone copolymer is, according to CosIng, a trimethylsilyl-terminated silicone copolymer of dimethylsiloxane units and methylsiloxane units carrying octadecyloxy (stearyl ether) groups. CosIng lists it as an emollient, skin-conditioning and viscosity-controlling ingredient.
