Starch from cassava root.
What it is
Tapioca starch is obtained from cassava (Manihot esculenta). It absorbs oil, gives a soft, powdery finish and is used as a lighter-feeling alternative to talc or silicones.
Where it is used
Powders, dry shampoos, deodorants and creams.
