What it is

Terpinolene is a monoterpene hydrocarbon that occurs naturally in a number of essential oils. CosIng lists it as fragrance, and it is regulated in Annex III of the EU Cosmetics Regulation.

Where it is used

Found in perfumed products such as fragrances, creams, shower gels and shampoos, often as a component of essential oils or fragrance compositions.

Limits of interpretation
