An acetylated derivative of phytosphingosine.
What it is
Tetraacetylphytosphingosine is the tetraester of acetic acid and phytosphingosine, a sphingoid base related to ceramides. CosIng lists it as a hair-conditioning and skin-conditioning agent.
Where it is used
Used in creams, serums, shampoos and other hair products.
