Wat het is

2-Methylresorcinol is een gemethyleerd derivaat van resorcinol (2-methylbenzeen-1,3-diol). CosIng vermeldt het als haarkleurstof. In de EU staat het in bijlage III (stoffen met beperkingen) voor oxidatieve en niet-oxidatieve haarverfproducten en voor producten om wimpers te kleuren.

Waar het wordt gebruikt

Te vinden in permanente haarverf en andere producten om haar en wimpers te kleuren.

Grenzen van de interpretatie

De INCI-lijst laat zien welke ingrediënten aanwezig zijn, niet hoeveel van elk. Boven 1% worden ingrediënten in afnemende volgorde van gewicht vermeld; onder 1% is de volgorde vrij.
