Wat het is
m-Aminophenol (3-aminofenol, CI 76545) is een aromatisch amine dat als haarkleurstof wordt gebruikt. CosIng vermeldt het voor het verven van haar. In de EU valt het onder bijlage III (stoffen met beperkingen) en is het toegestaan in oxidatieve haarverfproducten en in producten voor het verven van wimpers.
Waar het wordt gebruikt
Komt voor in permanente (oxidatieve) haarverf en wimperverf, waar het met andere kleurstofvoorlopers en een oxidatiemiddel reageert om de kleur te vormen.
Grenzen van de interpretatie
De INCI-lijst laat zien welke ingrediënten aanwezig zijn, niet hoeveel van elk. Boven 1% worden ingrediënten in aflopende volgorde van gewicht vermeld; onder 1% is de volgorde vrij.

Eyelashes shall not be coloured if the consumer: — has a rash on the face or sensitive, irritated and damaged scalp, — has experienced any reaction after colouring hair or eyelashes,— has experienced a reaction to a temporary ‘black henna’ tattoo in the past. Rinse eyes immediately if product comes into contact with them.”
