About Apoteket

Apoteket is a state-owned pharmacy retailer in Sweden that reports to the Ministry of Finance. It was founded in 1970 as Apoteksbolaget AB and renamed Apoteket AB in 1998. Its government monopoly on retail medicine sales ended on 1 July 2009. The products in this entry are Apoteket own-label items, mainly sunscreens and an aloe vera gel.

Apoteket's own label in figures

The 10 Apoteket products in INCIMondo are own-label items, mainly sunscreens plus an aloe vera gel in body care. PHENOXYETHANOL tops the ingredient ranking after water, followed by SODIUM HYDROXIDE, TOCOPHEROL, VP/EICOSENE COPOLYMER and XANTHAN GUM.

None of the 10 formulas contains fragrance ingredients, parabens or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.). Silicones are the one tracked group present, in 6 of them.

UV filters appear in the ingredient list under their INCI names, such as BUTYL METHOXYDIBENZOYLMETHANE, while the SPF number and, in the EU, often a UVA logo on the front show the protection level.
