About Avril

Avril is a French cosmetics brand founded in 2012 in the Nord region. It offers certified organic cosmetics with the stated aim of making organic beauty accessible to everyone. The first Avril shop opened in Lille in 2016, and the network has since grown to more than 50 shops in France and Belgium.

Avril in numbers

INCIMondo lists 10 Avril products, spread across body care, face care, hair care, deodorants and make-up. GLYCERIN is the most frequent ingredient after water, followed by TOCOPHEROL, LIMONENE, SODIUM BENZOATE and HELIANTHUS ANNUUS SEED OIL – sunflower seed oil, an emollient.

Fragrance ingredients appear in 5 of the 10 formulas. Parabens, silicones and denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.) are absent from all of them.

What “certified organic” means on Avril

“Organic” has no definition in EU cosmetics law, so it is the certification logo on an Avril pack that shows a specific private standard is met. With fragrance in half the range, checking for PARFUM is an easy way to find an unscented product.
