About Clarins

It is owned by the Courtin-Clarins family, which took the company private again in 2008, and moved its head office to Neuilly-sur-Seine in 2014. The brand is known for plant-based skin care; the ClarinsMen line for men was launched in 2002. Products in our database include day creams, body care, cleansing milk and deodorants.

Plant extracts and silicones side by side

Clarins is known for plant-based care, and the plant extracts appear under Latin botanical names – usually further down the list than the base ingredients. Silicones, with names ending in -CONE or -SILOXANE, are common here and mainly give slip and a smooth finish. ClarinsMen products have their own formulas, so compare within that line.
