About Coop
"Coop" is the name of several cooperative retailers, and the entries in our database come mainly from two of them. In Italy, Coop is a large retail system made up of consumer cooperatives, selling own-brand lines such as Coop Fior Fiore and Coop Vivi Verde (organic and eco-friendly). In Switzerland, Coop is a cooperative based in Basel whose predecessor dates from 1890; its own brands include Naturaplan, Oecoplan and Prix Garantie. Products here include mouthwash, toothpaste, sunscreen, cleansers and body scrub.
Two cooperatives, one name
The 13 Coop products we list come mainly from the Italian and Swiss cooperatives and centre on mouthwashes, face creams and toothpastes. PARFUM (10) and GLYCERIN (10) are the most frequent ingredients after water, followed by SODIUM BENZOATE (9) and ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE (8).
Fragrance is listed in 10 formulas (77%). There are no silicones or parabens, and denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.) appears in 1 (8%).
Which Coop, which line
Italian Coop sells lines such as Fior Fiore and Vivi Verde, while Swiss Coop uses Naturaplan, Oecoplan or Prix Garantie. These are separate ranges, so check the country and line on the pack before treating two Coop products as equivalent.
