About Dontodent
Dontodent is the oral care brand of the German drugstore chain dm-drogerie markt. The range covers toothpastes, mouthwashes and mouth sprays, manual, battery-powered and rechargeable toothbrushes including children's models, dental floss and interdental sticks, as well as dental chewing gum and replacement brush heads.
Inside Dontodent toothpastes
Beyond the brushes and floss in dm's Dontodent range, INCIMondo covers 13 products: toothpastes and mouthwashes. SODIUM SACCHARIN and AROMA come first after water, with SODIUM FLUORIDE – the fluoride source in many toothpastes – in third place, followed by SORBITOL and PROPYLENE GLYCOL.
None of the 13 formulas contains PARFUM (flavour is listed as AROMA), parabens, silicones or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).
Comparing Dontodent variants
The fluoride compound is named in the ingredient list, and many packs also give the content in ppm – the easiest way to compare variants. SORBITOL, high on the list, keeps toothpaste from drying out and adds sweetness.
