The Honest Company is an American consumer goods company founded in 2011 by Jessica Alba, Christopher Gavigan and Brian Lee and headquartered in Los Angeles; it launched in 2012 and has been listed on Nasdaq since 2021. Aloe-based personal care
Shampoo + body wash products, a conditioner, a bubble bath, a face and body lotion and an eczema relief cream make up the 7 Honest products we list. GLYCERIN, CITRIC ACID, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE and AQUA appear in all 7, CAPRYLHYDROXAMIC ACID, PANTHENOL, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL and TRISODIUM ETHYLENEDIAMINE DISUCCINATE in 6, and CHAMOMILLA RECUTITA FLOWER EXTRACT in 5.
None of the 7 is flagged for fragrance, silicones, parabens or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).
Scent names without PARFUM
Some Honest products carry scent names such as Lavender or Citrus Vanilla even though none is flagged for added fragrance; in such cases the scent may come from botanical extracts or essential oils listed under their Latin names, such as LAVANDULA ANGUSTIFOLIA. CAPRYLHYDROXAMIC ACID and CAPRYLYL GLYCOL are part of the preservative system used here instead of parabens.
