About ISANA med
ISANA MED is a sub-line of ISANA, the cosmetics own brand of the German drugstore chain Rossmann, which has existed for more than 25 years alongside ISANA Men and ISANA KIDS. Rossmann does not name its manufacturers; packs state that the products are made for Dirk Rossmann GmbH in the EU.
Soap-free and urea care
Soaps (2), shower gels (2), a shampoo and a hand cream make up the 7 ISANA MED products we list – a soap-free cleansing bar, a pH 5.5 skin-neutral wash lotion, a cream-oil shower, an ultra-sensitive everyday shampoo and a hand cream with 5.5% urea. AQUA and CITRIC ACID appear in all 7, GLYCERIN and PANTHENOL in 6, and SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE, PARFUM, SODIUM BENZOATE, COCO-GLUCOSIDE and SODIUM CHLORIDE in 4.
Fragrance is declared in 4 formulas (57%). None contains parabens, silicones or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).
Soap-free and pH on the label
"Soap-free" (seifenfrei) means the product uses synthetic or mild surfactants such as COCO-GLUCOSIDE rather than saponified fats, and a stated pH of 5.5 refers to the product itself. The urea percentage on the hand cream is printed on the front; in the list, UREA appears by name.
