About Johnson's

Johnson's (Johnson's Baby) is a baby care brand that began in 1893 with Johnson's Baby Powder. Its "No More Tears" baby shampoo was introduced in 1953. The brand was long part of Johnson & Johnson and now belongs to Kenvue, the consumer health company that J&J fully separated in 2023. The range includes baby shampoos, body lotions, massage oils, washes and wipes.

Johnson's baby range in figures

Baby care products, shampoos and body lotions make up the 23 Johnson's items we list – a range that grew from baby powder and the "No More Tears" shampoo. The most frequent ingredients are GLYCERIN (19), CITRIC ACID (16), SODIUM BENZOATE (16) and PARFUM (15).

Fragrance is declared in all 23 formulas (100%). Silicones appear in just 1 (4%), and neither parabens nor denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.) are listed in any product.

Reading a short list

Baby washes and lotions often have fairly short lists, which makes the order worth a look: ingredients are given in descending order down to 1%, and below that they may appear in any order. Formulas are revised over time, so check the current pack rather than an older bottle at home.
