About Lacalut
Lacalut is an oral care brand introduced in 1928. Dr. Theiss Naturwaren – the company founded in 1978 by pharmacist Dr. Peter Theiss in Homburg, Saarland – distributed it from 1990 and bought the brand from Boehringer Ingelheim in 2000. Our entries, with German, Ukrainian and Russian labels, include Lacalut aktiv, Lacalut basic for sensitive teeth and two mouthwashes.
Flavour, fluoride and aluminium lactate
Sensitivity toothpastes and a mouthwash make up the 4 Lacalut products we list. AROMA and AQUA are in all 4; ALUMINUM LACTATE, CHLORHEXIDINE DIGLUCONATE, SODIUM FLUORIDE, SODIUM SACCHARIN and HYDROGENATED STARCH HYDROLYSATE follow in 3 each, and PROPYLENE GLYCOL and PEG-40 HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL in 2.
None declares fragrance (PARFUM), parabens or silicones; denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.) is listed in 1 product (25%).
AROMA is not PARFUM
In oral care the flavour is declared as AROMA, which is why our fragrance flag stays at zero even though every product is flavoured. Toothpastes and mouthwashes sharing a name, such as aktiv, are different product types – compare their lists separately, since a rinse may contain ingredients the paste does not.
