About Lubriderm
Lubriderm is an American body lotion brand developed in 1945 by the pharmacist Louis Schleuse. For about three decades it was used only by dermatologists, hospitals and pharmacists before becoming publicly available in 1975. It is owned by Kenvue, the former consumer health business of Johnson & Johnson, and its range centres on daily moisturising lotions.
Lotions with a mineral trio
Lotions make up the 7 Lubriderm products we list – Daily Moisture, Advanced Therapy, Intensive Care and Intense Skin Repair among them, one with a Spanish label. GLYCERIN, PHENOXYETHANOL, CARBOMER and CETYL ALCOHOL appear in all 7, SODIUM HYDROXIDE and CAPRYLYL GLYCOL in 6, and a group of five-count ingredients follows: AVENA SATIVA KERNEL OIL, ZINC GLUCONATE, MAGNESIUM ASPARTATE, COPPER GLUCONATE and BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII BUTTER.
Fragrance is declared in 4 formulas (57%) and silicones in 2 (29%). Parabens appear in 1 (14%); none contains denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).
Scented and unscented versions
Lubriderm sells several lotions in scented and fragrance-free variants that look alike, and just over half of the products here list fragrance – check for PARFUM on the bottle. ZINC GLUCONATE, MAGNESIUM ASPARTATE and COPPER GLUCONATE usually travel together as a mineral blend in this range.
