About Mussofi
Mussofi is a French natural cosmetics start-up based in Bordeaux, founded in 2021 by Adrien Augé and Nadia Ongbiboue to make care products for black and mixed-race skin. Its first three products – a cleansing gel, a serum and an anti-spot cream – launched in 2023, and the company says its products are made entirely in south-west France.
A unifying range in French
Our 4 Mussofi entries carry French names: Sérum Unifiant Anti-Taches, Crème Unifiante Anti-Taches, a face-and-body exfoliating gel and a unifying moisturising body milk. GLYCERIN, AQUA, PARFUM, XANTHAN GUM, SODIUM BENZOATE and POTASSIUM SORBATE appear in all 4; CITRIC ACID, ASCORBYL GLUCOSIDE, ALPHA-GLUCAN OLIGOSACCHARIDE and SHIKIMIC ACID in 3.
All 4 declare fragrance (100%). None contains parabens, silicones or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).
Vitamin C under another name
ASCORBYL GLUCOSIDE is a vitamin C derivative, so it is the name to look for if a product mentions vitamin C; SHIKIMIC ACID is a plant-derived acid. 'Unifiant' and 'Anti-Taches' are the brand's product descriptors – the INCI list shows what each product actually combines.
