About OGX

OGX is a hair care range developed by Vogue International, a company that also produced Maui Moisture. In 2016 Johnson & Johnson agreed to acquire Vogue International for about US$3.3 billion; at the time, the hair care portfolio was sold in the United States and 38 other countries. OGX products are typically named after a featured ingredient, such as argan oil or biotin and collagen.

OGX: inside the bottles

OGX's 13 products in INCIMondo are hair care. Their most frequent ingredients after water are CITRIC ACID, SODIUM BENZOATE, PARFUM, SODIUM HYDROXIDE and GLYCERIN – none of them the featured ingredient a product is named after.

Fragrance ingredients are present in all 13 formulas, and silicones in 12. Parabens and denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.) do not appear in any of them.

Finding the star ingredient

OGX names its products after a featured ingredient, such as argan oil or biotin and collagen. To see where it actually sits, look it up in the list – below 1%, ingredients may appear in any order. Silicones, present in almost every OGX formula here, end in -cone or -siloxane.
