About Oral-B

Oral-B is an American oral care brand founded in California in 1950; the original toothbrush was designed by the dentist Robert W. Hutson. The brand joined the Gillette group in 1984 and has belonged to Procter & Gamble since P&G acquired Gillette in 2005. Its range covers manual and electric toothbrushes, toothpastes and mouthwashes.

Oral-B pastes and rinses

Leaving toothbrushes aside, Oral-B appears in INCIMondo with 58 toothpastes and mouthwashes. Their most frequent ingredients after water are SODIUM SACCHARIN, AROMA, HYDRATED SILICA, SODIUM LAURYL SULFATE and SODIUM FLUORIDE, the fluoride source in many toothpastes.

None of the 58 formulas contains PARFUM (flavour is listed as AROMA), parabens, silicones or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.); flavour comes from AROMA instead.

Comparing Oral-B toothpastes

Fluoride is listed as a named compound such as SODIUM FLUORIDE, and many packs state the fluoride content in ppm as well – the quickest way to compare two variants. The tube on the shelf may carry a newer formula than the one you remember, so check the list itself.
