About parodontax
parodontax is a toothpaste brand of German origin: it was developed in 1937 by the dentist Dr. Focke and later taken over by the pharmaceutical company Madaus, which added herbal extracts. GlaxoSmithKline obtained the brand in 2001, and it is now owned by Haleon. The range includes toothpastes and mouthwashes. Our 5 entries are toothpastes, among them Original, Complete Protection whitening and Strengthen & Protect, with Italian and Turkish labels for some.
Five toothpastes, one structure
Toothpastes make up all 5 parodontax products. GLYCERIN, SODIUM SACCHARIN and AROMA appear in all 5, SODIUM FLUORIDE and XANTHAN GUM in 4, and SODIUM LAURYL SULFATE and HYDRATED SILICA in 3.
None declares fragrance (PARFUM); parabens appear in 1 (20%). There are no silicones or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).
AROMA, not PARFUM
Toothpastes list flavour as AROMA, which is why no parodontax product is counted as fragranced. SODIUM FLUORIDE in four of the five is the fluoride source; the fifth may use another or none, so check the list – fluoride content is often also given in ppm on the tube.
