About Schmidt's

Schmidt's (Schmidt's Naturals) is a personal care brand founded in 2010 by Jaime Schmidt in Portland, Oregon. It became known for natural deodorants and later added bar soap and toothpaste. Unilever announced its acquisition of the company in December 2017. The products in our database include roll-on deodorants such as Rose + Vanilla and Charcoal + Magnesium, toothpastes (Wondermint, Coconut + Lime, activated charcoal) and soap.

Natural deodorants, named scents

Toothpastes, deodorants and soaps make up the 9 Schmidt's products we list, including scents such as Rose + Vanilla and Charcoal + Magnesium. After water, GLYCERIN (8) and TOCOPHEROL (7) lead, followed by GERANIOL (6) and LINALOOL (6).

Fragrance (PARFUM) is declared in 5 formulas (56%). There are no parabens, silicones or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).

Named fragrance substances

GERANIOL, LINALOOL and CITRONELLOL are fragrance substances that must be named once they exceed set levels – and they rank high here even though only about half the formulas list PARFUM. In the toothpastes, check for a fluoride source such as SODIUM FLUORIDE or SODIUM MONOFLUOROPHOSPHATE; its content is often given in ppm.
