A quaternary ammonium compound used in conditioners.
What it is
Distearyldimonium chloride (dimethyldioctadecylammonium chloride) is a quaternary ammonium salt with two long fatty chains. CosIng lists it as antistatic and hair conditioning.
Where it is used
Found in hair conditioners, masks, leave-in products and some creams.
