An extract of sunflower seeds used for hair and skin conditioning.
What it is
Helianthus annuus seed extract is an extract of the seeds of the sunflower, Helianthus annuus. CosIng lists it as a hair-conditioning and skin-conditioning agent and as a UV absorber.
Where it is used
Found in shampoos, conditioners, hair masks, creams and body lotions.
Limits of interpretation

The INCI name does not reveal the extraction method or the content of individual plant constituents. It is not the same as sunflower seed oil, which has its own INCI name.
