A sugar alcohol mixture used as a humectant.
What it is
Isomalt is a mixture obtained by enzymatic treatment of sucrose, consisting mainly of two sugar alcohols (glucopyranosyl-glucitol and glucopyranosyl-mannitol). CosIng lists its function as humectant.
Where it is used
Found in moisturisers, serums, masks and cleansers.
