What it is
Swertia japonica extract is, according to CosIng, an extract of the herb Swertia japonica, a plant of the gentian family (Gentianaceae) known in Japan as senburi. CosIng lists it as a skin-conditioning agent.
Where it is used
Found in hair care and skin care products.
