Wat het is
Toluene-2,5-diamine (2-methyl-p-fenyleendiamine, CI 76042) is een aromatisch amine dat in oxidatieve haarverf wordt gebruikt als primair tussenproduct. Het is chemisch verwant aan p-fenyleendiamine. CosIng vermeldt het als haarkleurend ingrediënt. In de EU valt het onder een vermelding in bijlage III (stoffen waarvoor beperkingen gelden), die ook waarschuwingen op het etiket voorschrijft.
Waar het wordt gebruikt
Te vinden in permanente haarkleuringen en producten om wimpers te verven.
Grenzen van de interpretatie
De INCI-lijst laat zien welke ingrediënten aanwezig zijn, niet hoeveel van elk. Boven 1% worden ingrediënten in afnemende volgorde van gewicht vermeld; onder 1% is de volgorde vrij.
Zie de sectie over EU-regelgeving voor de geldende limieten en voorwaarden. Het etiket vermeldt niet de concentratie en ook niet met welke andere kleurcomponenten het is gecombineerd.
