About Arko
Arko is a personal care brand of Evyap, the Turkish company that began as a small soap workshop in Erzurum in 1927. Evyap lists Arko Men and Arko Nem among its brands, has production facilities in Turkey, Malaysia and Egypt, and says its products reach more than 100 countries; according to its distributor Sarantis, the brand entered the Polish market in 1980. Our entries are a shaving foam with hemp seed oil and three Arko Nem moisturising creams, including an avocado hand and body cream.
Stearic soap base, three creams
Skin care and a shaving foam make up the 4 Arko products we list. GLYCERIN, PARFUM, PALMITIC ACID, LAURIC ACID, MYRISTIC ACID, STEARIC ACID, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE and AQUA appear in all 4; PHENOXYETHANOL, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, LINALOOL, CARBOMER and PARAFFINUM LIQUIDUM follow in 3.
All 4 declare fragrance (100%); silicones and denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.) appear in 1 each (25%); there are no parabens.
Fatty acids in a cream
Fatty acids such as STEARIC ACID combined with SODIUM HYDROXIDE form soaps in situ – the basis of a shaving foam – but in creams the same pairing is used to build a stable emulsion. PARAFFINUM LIQUIDUM is mineral oil; if you prefer to avoid it, check each Arko Nem variant, since it is listed in three of the four products.
