About Beiersdorf

Beiersdorf is a German skin care company founded in Hamburg in 1882 by the pharmacist Paul Beiersdorf and still headquartered there. Its majority shareholder is maxingvest AG, the parent company of Tchibo, with just over 50% of the shares. The group's brands include NIVEA, Eucerin, Aquaphor, Hansaplast, Labello and La Prairie. Products filed directly under the Beiersdorf name in our database are mostly NIVEA creams, lip care and sun protection.

Beiersdorf's own-name entries

The 19 products filed directly under Beiersdorf are mostly NIVEA items: sunscreens, body lotions and lip balms are the leading categories. PARFUM (17) and GLYCERIN (15) are the most frequent ingredients after water, followed by LINALOOL (10) and LIMONENE (9).

Fragrance appears in 17 formulas (89%). Denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.) is notably common at 8 (42%); silicones appear in 5 (26%) and parabens in 2 (11%).

Look for the brand pages too

Beiersdorf's brands – NIVEA MEN and Aquaphor among them – have their own pages in our database, and they say more about a particular product family than these few group-level entries. A sun spray and a lip balm share little beyond the company name, so compare within one category.
