About Dalan
Dalan is a Turkish soap and personal care brand from İzmir. Its roots lie in the soap business of Hamdi Dalan, who started producing soap in his own shop and later bought a factory; his son Akın Dalan founded the company Dalan Kimya Endüstri. The products in our database have Turkish labels and include shower gels, hand wash, a laurel olive-oil soap and a d'Olive conditioner.
Shower gels from İzmir
Five of the 8 Dalan products we list are shower gels – Botanica Lotus and Freesia, Fresh pink grapefruit and an Oatcare oat milk and vanilla gel. Seven ingredients appear in 7 products each: SODIUM CHLORIDE, GLYCERIN, PARFUM, LAURYL GLUCOSIDE, CITRIC ACID, BENZYL ALCOHOL and AQUA, with the preservative pair METHYLISOTHIAZOLINONE and METHYLCHLOROISOTHIAZOLINONE in 6.
Fragrance is declared in 7 formulas (88%). None contains parabens, silicones or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).
Bar soap versus gel
A traditional bar such as the Antik laurel olive-oil soap is made by saponification, so its list shows salts of fatty acids (for example SODIUM OLIVATE) rather than the synthetic surfactants of a gel. The shower gels share a base, so the variants differ mainly in their named extract and fragrance.
