About elkos
elkos is an own brand of the German retail group EDEKA for body and personal care. In December 2025 German media reported that EDEKA planned to replace elkos and several other drugstore own brands sold across its formats with a single umbrella brand, Jolea, from spring 2026. Our entries include a 3-in-1 shower gel, a lemongrass and lime shower gel, a Fresh deodorant and an intensive hand concentrate.
Showers, a deo and a hand cream
Shower gels and a hand cream are tagged among our 4 elkos products. GLYCERIN and AQUA appear in all 4; CITRIC ACID, LIMONENE, SODIUM BENZOATE and PARFUM in 3; and SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE, DISODIUM EDTA, SODIUM CHLORIDE, LINALOOL, CITRONELLOL, GERANIOL and CI 42090 in 2.
All 4 declare fragrance (100%) and denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.) appears in 1 (25%); none contains parabens or silicones.
Old packs, new name
If EDEKA's planned switch to Jolea goes ahead, elkos products may still be on shelves for a while, and formulas can change with a relaunch – compare the list on the new pack with the old one rather than assuming they match. The deodorant is the likeliest home of the single ALCOHOL DENAT. entry.
