About ISANA
ISANA is the face and body care own brand of the German drugstore chain Rossmann and has been on the market for more than 25 years; Rossmann launched its first own brands in 1998. The range spans more than 750 products for different skin types and ages, with sub-lines such as ISANA Men, ISANA Kids and ISANA Med. Rossmann does not disclose its manufacturers: packs state that the products are made for Dirk Rossmann GmbH, and many are labelled as made in the EU.
ISANA's everyday basics
Soaps, hand creams and shower gels lead the 49 ISANA products we list. PARFUM (41) comes first after water, followed by GLYCERIN (34), CITRIC ACID (30) and TOCOPHEROL (23), and fragrance is declared in 41 formulas (84%).
Silicones are almost absent, with 1 product (2%), and parabens do not appear at all. Denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.) is listed in 7 (14%).
Who makes ISANA?
Rossmann does not name its manufacturers – packs say only that the products are made for Dirk Rossmann GmbH – so two similar-looking items may come from different suppliers. Sub-lines such as ISANA Men, ISANA Kids and ISANA Med are formulated for different users; compare within the sub-line, and go by the list printed on the pack.
