About Kneipp
Kneipp is a German bath and body care brand based in Würzburg, with production in nearby Ochsenfurt-Hohestadt. It traces its origins to an 1891 agreement for marketing products under the name of the priest and hydrotherapist Sebastian Kneipp, and Kneipp GmbH has been a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hartmann Group since 2008. The range includes bath and body care, lip care, face care, over-the-counter products and herbal teas.
Bath and shower favourites
Shower gels, 2-in-1 shampoo-and-shower products and a hand cream lead the 9 Kneipp products we list, alongside bath crystals and a body milk with 10% urea. TOCOPHEROL appears in all 9, followed by PARFUM, LIMONENE and LINALOOL (8 each), GLYCERIN (7) and GERANIOL (6).
Fragrance is declared in every formula (100%). None contains parabens, silicones or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).
Named scents on the label
Kneipp products are often named after a plant or mood (Lemongras Guarana, Goodbye Stress, Gute Nacht). The essential oils behind them show up as fragrance substances listed individually – LIMONENE, LINALOOL, GERANIOL, CITRONELLOL – which is why these names rank almost as high as PARFUM itself.
