About Rimmel

Rimmel is a cosmetics brand founded in 1834 by Eugène Rimmel, a French-born perfumer, who started the house on Bond Street in London. It is now owned by Coty and is mainly known for make-up. The products in our database include Wonder Brow clear gel, Multi Tasker setting spray, Volume Thrill Seeker mascara and Radiance BB cream in several shades.

BB creams lead the list

Sunscreen and foundation are the categories attached to our 6 Rimmel entries – a reflection of the SPF-labelled BB creams. GLYCERIN appears in 5, then LIMONENE, LINALOOL, HEXYL CINNAMAL, TOCOPHEROL, CITRIC ACID and TETRASODIUM EDTA in 4 each.

Silicones are the most common flag, in 4 formulas (67%). Fragrance and denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.) appear in 2 each (33%), parabens in 1 (17%).

Allergens without many PARFUM entries

LIMONENE, LINALOOL and HEXYL CINNAMAL each show up more often than declared fragrance, because they are named individually whenever they exceed set levels. The BB cream comes in several shades, each recorded separately – the pigment list can change from one shade to the next.
