About rom&nd
rom&nd is a South Korean make-up brand founded in 2016 and popular well beyond Korea, especially in Japan. It is best known for its lip tints – one won the 2023 Olive Young Award for best lip tint – and has released collaborations such as a line with its first global ambassador, Hannah Bahng, and mini-size products made with the Japanese convenience chain Lawson.
One of each kind
Our 4 rom&nd entries cover four product types: the Juicy Lasting Tint (Child Like), the Glasting Water Tint (17 Woody Sunset), the Han All Fix mascara in L01 Long Black and the Zero Sun Clean SPF50+ PA++++ sun cream. Because they share so little, the top ingredients reach only 3 products – BUTYLENE GLYCOL, PENTYLENE GLYCOL and ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN – and the next group, including SILICA, OCTYLDODECANOL, DIISOSTEARYL MALATE and PHENOXYETHANOL, only 2.
Silicones appear in 3 formulas (75%) and fragrance in 2 (50%). There are no parabens and no denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).
Shade numbers and PA ratings
Tints and mascaras are sold by shade, and the colourants (CI numbers) change from shade to shade, so read the list for the exact number you buy. PA++++ on the sun cream is the Asian UVA rating used alongside SPF; on Turkish-labelled packs, Güneş Kremi means sun cream and Dudak Parlatıcısı lip gloss.
