About Solait

Solait is the suncare and bronzing own brand of Superdrug, the British health and beauty chain founded in 1964 and now part of the A.S. Watson Group. Superdrug sells the line alongside its other own brands such as B. and Optimum; the Solait range covers sun lotions, sprays and after-sun as well as self-tan mousses, mists, drops and gradual tans.

Self-tan only, so far

All 4 Solait entries we hold are self-tanners, listed with Polish names: Dark and Medium body mousses, a Dark self-tanning lotion and Medium self-tan wipes. DIHYDROXYACETONE, GLYCERIN, PARFUM, PHENOXYETHANOL and AQUA appear in all 4; HYDROXYCITRONELLAL, LINALOOL, CARAMEL, SODIUM BENZOATE and ANANAS SATIVUS FRUIT EXTRACT in 3 each.

Every formula declares fragrance (100%). Denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.) is in 2 (50%), silicones in 1 (25%), and no product contains parabens.

Caramel is a colour

CARAMEL in a self-tanner works as an instant guide colour, so you can see where the product has been applied; the lasting tan comes from DIHYDROXYACETONE. Wipes and mousses differ in their base, so the position of ALCOHOL DENAT. varies by format – compare the specific pack.
