About Sun Ozon
Sunozon (written Sun Ozon in some of our records) is the own-label sun care brand of the German drugstore chain Rossmann, introduced in 1997 together with Babydream, facelle and Winston as the chain's first own brands. The products are made by external manufacturers that Rossmann does not name, and the packaging states "made in Germany". The range covers sun sprays, sun milks, face fluids, tanning boosters and after-sun products in several SPF levels.
Twelve sunozon formulas
Eleven of the 12 sunozon products we list are classed as sunscreens; the German names – Sonnenmilch, Sonnengel, Sonnenspray, Aprèslotion – show the mix of formats. GLYCERIN and AQUA appear in all 12, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE and C12-15 ALKYL BENZOATE in 11, and the UV filters ETHYLHEXYL SALICYLATE (9) and BUTYL METHOXYDIBENZOYLMETHANE (8) follow.
Half the range, 6 formulas (50%), declares fragrance. Silicones appear in 4 (33%) and denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.) in 3 (25%); parabens are absent.
Med lines and filter names
Several entries carry a "Med" label, such as Sonnengel Med LSF 50 – "LSF" is the German term for SPF. The filters themselves are listed under INCI names like ETHYLHEXYL SALICYLATE, BUTYL METHOXYDIBENZOYLMETHANE or PHENYLBENZIMIDAZOLE SULFONIC ACID; since Rossmann's suppliers may change, compare the list on the bottle you actually buy.
