About tetesept
tetesept is a German health and wellness brand belonging to Merz Consumer Care, part of the family-owned Merz group founded in Frankfurt am Main in 1908. Its range covers bath additives, over-the-counter products and food supplements; a 2017 trade report put the brand's 2016 sales at 100 million euros. Our entries include a warming balm, Glitzer Badesalz bath salts and a Cherry Blossom body lotion with almond oil.
Oils and scent in the bath range
The 4 tetesept products we list carry no category tags, but bath and body care dominates. PARFUM, TOCOPHEROL and AQUA appear in all 4, PRUNUS AMYGDALUS DULCIS OIL (sweet almond), LIMONENE and LINALOOL in 3, and CITRUS AURANTIUM DULCIS PEEL OIL, CITRUS LIMON PEEL OIL and EUCALYPTUS GLOBULUS LEAF OIL in 2 each.
All 4 declare fragrance (100%); none contains parabens, silicones or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).
Essential oils add allergens
Citrus and eucalyptus oils bring their own fragrance substances, so LIMONENE, LINALOOL and GERANIOL can appear even when PARFUM sits low in the list. Bath salts and lotions are used very differently – a bath additive is diluted in water – so compare them within their own category.
