About Toni & Guy

Toni & Guy is a British hairdressing brand founded in 1963 in Clapham, London, by the brothers Toni and Guy Mascolo, and has grown into an international salon network. Its retail hair care range is listed among Unilever's brands; Unilever also bought the related professional line TIGI, launched by the company in 1985, in 2009. Products in our database include purple shampoos, conditioners and toning masks for blonde hair and a volumising dry shampoo.

Salon range, retail formulas

Shampoos, conditioners and styling products make up the 10 Toni & Guy entries we list, with a focus on purple shampoos and toning masks for blonde hair. Four ingredients tie at the top after water, each in 8 products: SODIUM CHLORIDE, DISODIUM EDTA, PHENOXYETHANOL and GLYCERIN.

All 10 declare fragrance (100%). Silicones appear in 5 (50%) and denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.) in 2 (20%); none contains parabens.

Purple shampoo and dry shampoo

The colour in purple shampoos and toning masks is listed as CI numbers, usually near the end of the list. A volumising dry shampoo is a very different product from a wash-off shampoo, so compare it only with other dry shampoos; silicones in the conditioners can be found by the endings -CONE and -SILOXANE.
