About TRESemmé
TRESemmé is a hair care brand created in 1947 in Manhattan, New York, by the Godefroy Manufacturing Company and named after the hair care expert Edna L. Emme. Alberto-Culver bought the brand in 1968, and it passed to Unilever when Unilever acquired Alberto-Culver in 2010. The range covers shampoos and conditioners as well as styling products such as mousses, gels, hairsprays and dry shampoo.
TRESemmé, wash and style
Shampoos, conditioners and styling products make up the 15 TRESemmé entries we list. SODIUM CHLORIDE (13) and DISODIUM EDTA (13) are the most frequent ingredients, followed by LINALOOL (10) and PARFUM (10); fragrance is declared in all 15 (100%).
Silicones appear in 5 formulas (33%), while parabens and denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.) are each found in 1 (7%).
Shampoo versus styling
Mousses, gels, hairsprays and dry shampoo are built very differently from the shampoos and conditioners, so compare within one format. The single product with parabens is easy to identify by a name ending in -PARABEN.
