About Urtekram
Urtekram traces its story to 1972, when a small shop for herbs, spices, fruit and vegetables opened in Copenhagen. Its products have been made at Mariager Fjord in North Jutland since 1989, and the brand is part of Midsona. The range covers hair, body, face and oral care; the products are vegan and certified to Ecocert COSMOS ORGANIC. Our entries are a hand cream, a mint toothpaste, a Finnish-labelled fluoride-free whitening toothpaste and a baobab and aloe vera men's deodorant.
Aloe and magnolia across the board
Hand cream, deodorant and toothpaste make up the 4 Urtekram products we list. GLYCERIN, AQUA, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF EXTRACT and MAGNOLIA OFFICINALIS BARK EXTRACT appear in all 4; XANTHAN GUM in 3; and PARFUM, GLYCERYL CAPRYLATE, PRUNUS AMYGDALUS DULCIS OIL, SQUALENE, ZINC RICINOLEATE, MENTHOL and SODIUM HYALURONATE in 2.
Fragrance is declared in 2 (50%); none contains parabens, silicones or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).
Toothpaste without fluoride
One toothpaste is labelled fluoride-free (fluoriton in Finnish), so check the list for a fluoride compound if that matters to you – the two toothpastes are not interchangeable on this point. ZINC RICINOLEATE is a classic deodorant ingredient that binds odour molecules, which most likely places it in the men's deo.
