About Wild
Wild is a British refillable personal care brand founded in 2019 by Charlie Bowes-Lyon and Freddy Ward and based in Vauxhall, London. Its stated mission is to remove single-use plastic from the bathroom, starting with deodorant sold in a reusable case with refills. Unilever acquired the brand in 2025.
A butter-and-wax deodorant
Deodorant refills – Thunderstorm, Cherry Blossom, Mint & Aloe Vera and others – and a coconut and vanilla lip balm refill make up the 7 Wild products we list. Their base is remarkably consistent: COCOS NUCIFERA OIL, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS SEED OIL, PARFUM, BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII BUTTER, THEOBROMA CACAO SEED BUTTER and HELIANTHUS ANNUUS SEED CERA appear in all 7, and ZINC RICINOLEATE, TRIETHYL CITRATE, TAPIOCA STARCH and SODIUM BICARBONATE in 6.
Fragrance is declared in every formula (100%). None contains parabens, silicones or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).
Deodorant, not antiperspirant
The deodorants here contain no aluminium salts; odour control is handled by ingredients such as ZINC RICINOLEATE, TRIETHYL CITRATE and SODIUM BICARBONATE, with TAPIOCA STARCH as an absorbent. The scents differ, but the waxy base stays the same, so differences between refills show up mainly in the fragrance substances.
