An alkoxylated diester of adipic acid used as an emollient and cleansing surfactant.
What it is
Di-PPG-2 myreth-10 adipate is a diester of adipic acid with PPG-2 myreth-10, an ethoxylated and propoxylated ether of myristyl (C14) alcohol. CosIng lists it as an emollient, skin-conditioning ingredient and cleansing surfactant.
Where it is used
Found in cleansers, makeup removers, wipes, creams and lotions.
Limits of interpretation
The INCI list shows which ingredients are present, not how much of each. Above 1%, ingredients are listed in descending order of weight; below 1% the order is free.
The degree of ethoxylation and propoxylation is an average, so the raw material is a mixture of molecules of different sizes.
