About Aleyria Cosmétiques
Aleyria Cosmétiques is an artisan cosmetics maker based in Aix-en-Provence in southern France. It produces handmade solid and liquid soaps and natural moisturising cosmetics; its soaps are cold-saponified, a method in which oils are turned into soap without heating, and its products are certified organic, with several listed in the Cosmebio database. The entries in our database are solid soaps named by theme – citrus, floral, natural, freshness and Provençal – including face versions.
Ten soaps, one base
All 10 Aleyria products we list are solid soaps, and they share the same four ingredients: SODIUM OLIVATE, OLEA EUROPAEA FRUIT OIL, SODIUM COCOATE and COCOS NUCIFERA OIL each appear in all 10.
None of the 10 lists fragrance (PARFUM), and none contains parabens, silicones or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).
Reading a cold-process soap
Saponified oils such as SODIUM OLIVATE and SODIUM COCOATE are the soap itself; here the oils also appear under their own names (OLEA EUROPAEA FRUIT OIL, COCOS NUCIFERA OIL). The citrus, floral or Provençal themes come from the other ingredients, listed under Latin botanical names, with an asterisk usually marking certified-organic ones.
