About bareMinerals

bareMinerals is an American make-up and skincare brand launched in 1995. Japan's Shiseido acquired it in 2010 for about $1.7 billion and in 2021 agreed to sell it, together with Laura Mercier and Buxom, to private equity firm Advent International for a reported $700 million; the brands now belong to Orveon. Our entries are the Pureness Gel and Poreless Clay cleansers, Performance Wear Liquid Foundation and Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream SPF 30.

Powder roots, cream formats

Our 4 bareMinerals entries carry no category tags. SILICA, BUTYLENE GLYCOL and GLYCERIN appear in 3 each, and TOCOPHEROL, SORBITAN SESQUIISOSTEARATE, STEARIC ACID, SUCCINOGLYCAN, AQUA and GLYCERYL STEARATE SE in 2.

No product declares fragrance, parabens or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.); silicones are listed in 1 (25%).

Tinted products and shades

The foundation and the tinted gel cream contain pigments that vary by shade, so the full list on the shade you buy may differ slightly from ours. The SPF 30 claim on Complexion Rescue relates to its UV filters, which are listed by their INCI names – compare it with other tinted sunscreens rather than with the cleansers.
