About Bioré
Bioré is a skin care brand of Kao Corporation, the Japanese consumer goods company founded in 1882 and headquartered in Tokyo. Kao launched Bioré daily skincare, and the Bioré U body care line, in the 1980s. The entries in our database, with French and German labels, include a charcoal deep-cleansing gel, a one-minute self-heating charcoal mask, an anti-blemish wash, a whipped charcoal mask and the Aqua Rich Watery Essence sunscreen.
Charcoal and menthol
Face masks lead the 6 Bioré products, alongside a sunscreen and facial creams. The ranking is dominated by the charcoal range: CHARCOAL POWDER, MENTHOL, DISODIUM EDTA, PARFUM and GLYCERIN appear in 5 each, with SALICYLIC ACID and SODIUM HYDROXIDE in 4.
All 6 declare fragrance (100%). Silicones are listed in 2 (33%) and parabens in 1 (17%); none contains denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).
Cooling and scent on the label
MENTHOL provides the cooling feel many cleansers advertise; it appears separately from PARFUM, so a product can list both. The Aqua Rich sunscreen is a different kind of product from the cleansers – its UV filters will appear under their INCI names, so compare it with other sunscreens rather than with the charcoal range.
