About Coslys
Coslys is a French organic cosmetics brand founded by Samuel Gabory, who in 2002 helped draft the specifications for the Cosmébio label before developing his own natural range. Its products are made at the company's own plant in the Pays de la Loire region, are certified organic under the Cosmébio and COSMOS labels, and cover hygiene and beauty for the whole family, including deodorants, shampoos, toothpastes and hand care; bulk refills have been offered since 2013.
Organic hygiene basics
Shower gels and soap-free shampoo-showers (with cereals or red fruits), a rice protein and amaranth volume shampoo, two toothpastes – menthol and sensitive teeth with mint and propolis – an intimate wash and a styling gel make up the 7 Coslys products we list. AQUA appears in all 7, GLYCERIN in 6, and SODIUM COCO-SULFATE, BENZYL ALCOHOL, COCONUT ALCOHOL, DEHYDROACETIC ACID, SODIUM SULFATE and LIMONENE in 5.
Fragrance is declared in 4 formulas (57%). None contains parabens, silicones or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).
Organic preservatives and surfactants
Organic-certified products use a restricted set of preservatives – BENZYL ALCOHOL and DEHYDROACETIC ACID are the pair that recurs here – and surfactants such as SODIUM COCO-SULFATE. An asterisk usually marks ingredients from organic farming, with the organic percentage stated below the list.
